Each first aid kit should contain (as a minimum):
A leaflet giving general guidance on first aid
20 individually wrapped sterile adhesive dressings of assorted sizes (plasters)
2 sterile eye pads
4 triangular bandages, individually wrapped and preferably sterile
6 safety pins
6 medium wound dressings, individually wrapped and sterile (approx. 12cm x 12cm)
2 large wound dressings (approx. 18cm x 18cm)
1 pair disposable gloves (latex)
1 pair disposable gloves (vinyl)
5 head injury advice sheets
5 blank accident reporting forms

Additional non-mandatory but advisable items:
4 sterile wipes
1 pair of scissors
1 adhesive tape
1 heat blanket (space blanket)
1 mouth to mouth distance piece
Where mains water is not available for eye irrigation - 500 ml of sterile saline water
4 ice packs
