With the Festival now over for another we hope you all had a great time - yet again the weather was kinder than we were expecting and the record number of players and teams meant that it was one of the best years!
A big thanks to everyone who helped over the weekend, from marking pitches on Friday to oranising the umpires, actually umpiring some matches, and the brave few who turned up in the rain to help clear up on Monday.

The Henwick Mixed Summer League will return again this year and starts at the end of April. We will field two teams again and welcome back Scarlett Badgers, Basingstoke and Bradfield College.
Our fixtures can be seen under the Teams->Mixed A/B->Fixtures menu.

We have been able to secure 36 tickets to the Olympics. We don't know the dates or session times yet; but it is to watch hockey at the Riverbank Arena in the Olympic Park.
To gain a chance of winning a ticket you can enter one of three draws.
All club members can enter each draw as many times as they like, but each member can only win one ticket.
Each draw costs £1 per entry.
All winners will have to pay an additional £35 for their ticket.
1. Junior Members Draw (6 tickets available)
To enter this draw you must be born before 1st September 2001 and after 1st September 1995 (i.e. 10 - 16 years old).
Each junior winner will have a nominated responsible adult assigned to them for the event.
Travel from Thatcham to the venue and back again is included.
Registration officers at Junior Training will be accepting entries.
The draw will happen at the Junior Festival on Sunday 15th April 2012.
2. Responsible Adults Draw (10 tickets available)
To enter this draw you must be born before 1st September 1990 (i.e. over 21).
You will be accompanying and responsible for the Junior winners.
Travel from Thatcham to the venue and back again is included.
Entries can be made over the bar at the clubhouse.
The draw will happen at the end of season dinner on Saturday 31st March 2012.
3. Members Draw (20 tickets available)
To enter this draw you must be born before 1st September 1995 (i.e. over 16).
Travel to and from the Olympic venue is not included, winners will need to cover this cost themselves.
Entries can be made over the bar at the clubhouse.
The draw will happen at the end of season dinner on Saturday 31st March 2012.
These tickets will be available to hockey club members only - so if you wish to enter the draw be sure you've paid your membership! | | | |
| The Ladies 1s, Ladies 2s and Mens 2s matches today have all been postponed due to frozen pitches. Hopefully the Mens 1s and 3s will still be on at henwick and the clubhouse will be open so pop along if you are at a loose end! | | | |
